This organic farm in a Miao village is managed by a designer who gave up her professional and well paid job, just to help the ethnic minority learn to apply organic farming concepts and technology. The farm house was built with the help of villages, adults and children about 6 years ago. There was no high speed train in those days. Nor were there the smooth super highways. Villagers transported the metal sheets, cables, and every piece of construction material on foot and by hand. The small hill has been known as haunted and the place with new born unwanted babies buried and cursed.
Now the farm is producing organic pigs, chickens, geese, goats and different kinds of vegetables. Teams of young people visit the farm to learn about the Miao culture, organic farming and the story of the pioneers.
A new road is under construction bringing the green valley closer to the renowned Phoenix City about 45 minutes' drive from the village.
